HELP KEEP THE POLAR BEAR SEAS FOR POLAR BEARS, NOT POLLUTERS!

The Obama Administration has proposed a 5-Year Offshore Drilling Program that would open up both of Alaska’s Polar Bear Seas — the Chukchi and the Beaufort — to oil development. Tell the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, which manages the program, to put the Polar Bear Seas off-limits to the oil giants.
Follow the link below and send your message to congress and tell them preserve Arctic waters!

Antarctica 2041 by Robert Swan

"Antarctica 2041" by Robert Swan

In 1985 Robert Swan hiked across Antarctica. At the time environmental conservation was not on his mind, until after his return he found that his eyes had been turned pale by the unfiltered UV rays passing through the whole in the Ozone layer. Now he is on a journey to save the Arctic and preserve it for future generations.

2041 is the year when the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty, protecting the natural resources of Antarctica from human involvement, comes up for amendment. This means that oil drilling may become a possibility in the Antarctic's future, possibly pioneering the destruction of the worlds last true wilderness.

You can read the exact documentation of the Antarctic Treaty here ---> http://www.antarctica.ac.uk/about_antarctica/geopolitical/treaty/update_1991.php
